Preliminary exam applications


Enrollment criteria include:

  1. completed quadrennial school and
  2. successfully completed preliminary exam (university studies only).

Enrollment registration can be made through online application (registration does not oblige student to apply).


Applicants have to deliver printed and signed application for preliminary exam to student administration and also have to attach neccesary documents:


  1. birth certificate;
  2. place of (temporary) residence certificate;
  3. matriculation certificate and highschool certificate for quadrennial school (for every school year)*;
  4. deposit slip with the purpose of preliminary exam expenses in amount of 50 BAM. Charges are being paid on giro account of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Computing, number: 3381302271326593.

Enrollment applications are received: for first (July) preliminary exam term and for second (September) preliminary exam term.

Faculty Student Administration working hours are every day from 08:00h to 15:00h.


Applicants who have completed successfully a quadrennial highschool abroad have to inclose rescript on matriculation certificate equivalency.

Applicants who during their secondary school education have won an award in contests in the field of mathematics and physics can enroll without preliminary exam into Studies of Mechanical Engineering, Computing or Electrical Engineering.

Preliminary exam procedure

Preliminary exam procedure comprises of applicants success evaluation of secondary school, as well as success achieved in the preliminary exam.


Applicants success in secondary school is marked according to success in topics of Mathematics and Physics, as well as general success through all four years of secondary school.


Preliminary exam consists out of 40 problems, 24 problems in Mathematics and 16 problems in Physics. The greatest number of points achieved in the preliminary exam is 600.


Enrollment free of charges requires achieving minimally 80 points in the preliminary exam. During the preliminary exam applicants are obliged to comply to the following instructions:


  1. Duration time of preliminary exam is 180 minutes;
  2. Every problem offers 5 answers, where one must solve the problem and encircle the corresponding accurate answer;
  3. Accurate answer brings 15 points;
  4. Inaccurate answer, as well as multiple answers of one problem bring 5 negative points;
  5. Along with given problems, applicants receive accessory paper for problem outline which applicants are obliged to give over in the end of exam;
  6. Use of any kind of literature, apparatus and telephones is strictly forbidden;
  7. Use of calculator is allowed.

Enroll

Students ranked best enroll in the first year of studies in status of regular students whose scholarship expenses are ensured through competent county ministries of education, culture and sports, and all other students bear scholarship expenses during studies on their own.


Following documents are required by enrollment:

  1. deposit slip for scholarship fees and index
  2. deposit slip for student choir
  3. index
  4. inscription material
  5. two photographs

Enrollment in consequent year of study

According to the decision of Science and Educational Board of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Computing, nr: 06-01-504/16 criteria of enrollment in consequent year of study for students of undergraduate studies are:

  1. Student who wants to enroll in second year of studies has to gain at least 45 ECTS points in the first year of studies,
  2. Student who wants to enroll in third year of studies has to gain at least 95 ECTS points; 60 ECTS points in the first year and minimally 35 ECTS points in the second year of study.

According to the decision of Science and Educational Board of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Computing, nr: 06-01-505/16 criteria of enrollment in consequent year of study for students of graduate studies are:

  1. Student who wants to enroll in second year of studies has to gain at least 30 ECTS points in the first year of studies.
