Undergraduate Study of Mechanical Engineering lasts six semesters, during which students acquire 180 ECTS points. First four semesters are joint study for all specializations of the studies. In the fifth semester student chooses, according to his own affinities, one of the following specializations:
Graduate Study of Mechanical Engineering lasts four semesters, during which students acquire 120 ECTS points. Specializations of graduate study are the same as of undergraduate study and are actually training in a certain field and preparing for the PhD degree in postgraduate scientific studies. While enrolling, the student decides for one of the following specializations:
University Postgraduate Study is consisted out of of five specializations:
Study of Computing, undergraduate, as well as graduate, aims to
educate experts capable to adapt to constant changes
changes in the area of computing as well as in all areas of engineering. Education comprises of
proposing necessary fundamentals in the area of computing and engineering in general.
Aim of the study is to develop the ability ability to design, apply and
use computing and information technologies with special emphasis
on application in the area of engineering.
Undergraduate Study of Computing lasts six semesters, during which students acquire 180 ECTS points. One gains the ability to design, implement and maintain an average computer system which includes integration of software and hardware solutions. Having completed the study successfully one also gains prerequisites for continuation of studies in the frame of graduate study which forms a completely educated expert qualified to accomplish the most complex engineering tasks and to take part in scientific and research work.
University Graduate Study of Computing lasts four semesters, during which students acquire 120 ECTS points. Enrolling in the gradute study student can select one of following specializations:
Specializations of the Graduate Study of Computing represent orientation towards a specific area of computing. Having completed Graduate Study of Computing, one is qualified to design, implement and maintain complex computer systems which include integration of software and hardware solutions and form a completely educated expert enabled to accomplish the most complex engineering tasks and to take part in scientific and research work.
University Postgraduate study of Computing is closely connected to the modern scientific accomplishments in the scientific area of technical sciences, scientific field of computing, scientific branches: information systems, data analysis, artificial intelligence, program engineering and architecture of computer systems.
In the frame of Undergraduate Study of Electrical Engineering students are qualified to work in different areas of
electrical engineering which is becoming one of the most interesting
interesting (and most profitable) rapidly expanding area, especially with development of information technologies. Upon completion of the studies, students are qualified to maintain,
implement and design an average device, appliance and system in electrical engineering
which includes integration of software, , hardware and processing solutions together with
qualification for production and maintenance of technical documentation and adequate forms of engineering
report. Application of modern IT tools with compulsory knowledge of at least one foreign
language are all postulates of study in the Undergraduate study of Electrical Engineering which are basis of continuation
of studies of an engineer andthe ability of integration into european society of knowledge.
Main goal of the Undergraduate Study of Electrical Engineering is education of future experts competent for development of economical activities based on electrical engineering who will be able to accomodate to constant changes in the area of electrical engineering. Education comprises a build – up of fundamentals from the area of electrical engineering and engineering in general. Aim of the study is development of the ability of implementation and use of electrical engineering technologies with a special emphasis on the process of maintenance of electrical engineering equipment in the wide spectrum of application: from processing automation to electroenergetic facilifies. Besides this, students also prepare for further specialization in profession and science and are enabled to enroll in the university graduate studies for gaining the title of Master of Electrical Engineering.
The area of electrical engineering is wide and interdisciplinary, so one could say there does not exist an area of human activity where it can't be applied and where it hasn't contributed to its development. One of the characteristics of electrical engineering is an extremely rapid development. Demands of the modern society for electrical energy grow constantly, which causes constant development of devices for energy conversion and detection of new and ecologically acceptable sources with approvements of system for electrical energy distribution. Continuous and rapid development, as well as constant advancement with new acquirements and accomplishments necessarily calls for adequate education process. Basic prerequisite of faster growth and keeping step with the developed world are exactly excellently educated engineers. Suggested Undergraduate Study of Electrical Engineering in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Sciences has a goal to educate staff in the area of electrical engineering for necessities of economy, as well as state and other public institutions. Establishment of the Study of Electrical Engineering would widen our University with this one missing study.
